  • Toor Dal (split pigeon peas) - 3/4 cup
  • 1 tbsp Imli (Tamarind)
  • 1 medium onion (sliced)
  • 2-3 bhindi (ladyfinger)
  • green chilli - 1
  • tomato (chopped) - 1
  • bottle gourd (chopped) - 1 small
  • Sambar powder - 2 tsp
  • curry leaves - 5 - 6
  • turmeric -1 tsp
  • cumin- 1 tsp
  • 2 pinches asafetida
  • methi seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • red chili - 2 (dry)
  • coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • coriander leaves - 2 strands
  • Salt (as per your taste)
