- On the other hand, for the tempering, heat desi ghee in a small pan over a medium flame. Once the ghee is sufficiently hot, add the mustard seeds, curry leaves, and split black gram dal.
- Once it starts to splutter, bring it off the flame and pour the tempering over the chutney.
