Ingredients
  • 1 cup barnyard millet or samak rice
  • Cumin seeds
  • Ginger
  • Green vegetables
  • Salt as prescribed by your dietitian
  • Chopped coriander leaves
  • Water
  • A simple and easy recipe of Samak Rice Pulao, which is probably the best option available to you in fasts and also has many health benefits.     • Wash and soak barnyard millet for over moderate flame and also add cumin seeds.
    • Saute vegetables, cumin seeds , ginger and spices.
    • Then add water, samak rice to the vegetable mixture.
    • Cover the pan to cook on medium flame for 8 to 10 minutes until it gets cooked.
    • Keep checking using a fork.
    • Then, add coriander leaves and lemon juice.
    • Mix well to combine everything and turn off the flame.
    • Now, cover the pan and then let it sit for 10 minutes before serving.
