Ingredients
  • Cloves: 2
  • Sugar/ stevia: 2 tbsp ( As guided by your dietitian)
  • Tea leaves: 2 tsp
  • Milk (fresh): 2 cups
  • Green Cardamoms: 4
  • Cinnamon: 1 small piece
  • Dried Ginger powder: 2 pinches
  • Water: 2 cups
  • Tulsi leaves- 3-4
  • Black peppercorns - 4
  • Masala tea, also called masala chai is one step above the regular chai. A unique blend of taste and aroma that comes from all the spices used in its preparation is the USP of masala tea.

    Masala Chai
    1. In a saucepan, boil water.
    2. Then, take cardamom, black pepper and cloves. Then, crush these using a mortar and pestle.
    3. Now, put the crushed spices along with dried ginger powder, cinnamon powder and fresh tulsi leaves into the saucepan.
    4. Then, boil on low to medium flame for 2-3 minutes. This step is important to let all the flavours and aroma blend together and become strong.
    5. In the next step, add stevia/ sugar (as guided by your nutritionist) and tea leaves.
    6. Then, give it a boil for 1 min.
    7. Finally, add some milk and boil it for another 2 minutes to let the flavours simmer.
    8. And, your masala chai is ready.
