Ingredients
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup of Suji
  • 1/2 cup of Curd/ Dahi
  • 1 cup water
  • Salt (as directed by your dietitian)
  • 1 tbsp of lime juice
  • Water (as much required)

    How To Prepare Oats Rava Idli Recipe

    1. Dry roast the oats in a pan. And then powder them in a grinder.
    2. Now in a bowl, pour water and curd and add suji and powdered oats. Then, mix well to make a thick batter.
    3. Set aside for about 10 minutes.
    4. Also, make sure that the batter must not watery, it should be thick in consistency.
    5. Now heat a steamer with water. Meanwhile, fill the idli plates with the oats suji batter.
    6. When the water in the steamer begins to boil, place the idli stand in the cooker and steam for about 10-15 minutes.
    7. After that turn off the heat and also insert a skewer in the idli if it comes out clean or with slight crumbs, the idlis are cooked.
    8. Allow them to cool down a bit and then remove them from the plate with the help of a spoon.
    9. Serve the oats suji idli with coconut or homemade sambhar (without drumsticks).
