Ingredients
  • cooking oil - 1 tsp
  • low-fat milk - 1/4 cup
  • chopped green capsicum - 1/4 cup
  • melted low-fat butter for brushing - 1/2 tsp
  • Pinch of salt
  • chopped and boiled carrots - 1/4 cup
  • blanched broccoli florets - 1/2 cup
  • finely chopped onions - 1/4 cup
  • homemade tomato garlic sauce - 2 tsp
  • whole-wheat hot dog rolls - 2
  • dry red chili flakes - 1/2 tsp

    How To Make Hot Dog Roll

    1. Cut each hot dog horizontally into two halves.
    2. Scoop the center of each hot dog roll halve, using a spoon so that a light depression is formed for the stuffing.
    3. Keep these scooped bread crumbs aside.
    4. Heat the oil in a non-stick pan, add the onions, and saute on a medium flame for 1-2 min.
    5. Add the carrots, capsicum, and healthy broccoli and saute on a medium flame for 1-2 min.
    6. Then, add the scooped bread crumbs, milk, salt, and chili flakes and cook on a medium flame for 1-2 min, stirring continuously.
    7. Divide the topping into 4 -equal portions and keep aside.
    8. Then, apply butter on both sides of each hot dog roll halve, and toast them lightly on a Tawa till both sides are golden brown.
    9. Place one toasted hot dog roll half on a clean, dry surface with the scooped side facing upwards. Spread a portion of the topping evenly on the scooped bread.
    10. Finally, spread homemade garlic tomato sauce evenly over it.
    11. Then, repeat the process for another hot dog.
    12. Serve immediately.
